Andalusia

A land with a lots of charm

Our house is close to Cordoba, with the Mezquita, Medina Azahara and the Reales Alcázares as main monuments and with a strong Muslim flavor.
Córdoba was called the city of three cultures: Muslim, Jewish and Christian.   The best known feasts are   Las Cruces, Los Patios and the Córdoba Fair, all take place in May, the main month in Cordoba. It is sure that  if you see Cordoba in May, you will repeat again.
The main purchases are crafts of Cordoban, extra virgin olive oil, iberian hams of Los Pedroches, pottery and conventual confectionery.

The Giralda, Seville
We can also visit Seville, which has the cathedral and the Giralda,  in front of Los Reales Alcázares with the neighborhood of Santa Cruz. The main festival of Seville is the April Fair, along with Easter
On the banks of the Guadalquivir, Seville displays its rich Arab past and its status as a port of commerce with the Americas. The Andalusian capital exudes joy and animation in each of the streets and squares of the center of the city, housing monuments inscribed in the world heritage and neighborhoods of deep popular flavors such as that of Triana or La Macarena.

Plaza of Spain, Seville

Granada has to be visited only for one thing:   to see the Alhambra, a majestic Arab palace. With its citadel and its gardens. Its neighborhoods of the Albaizin and Sacromonte are also very interesting.

You can also visi from our cottage  Úbeda and Baeza, both cities are World Heritage sites for being the jewels of the Andalusian renaissance, other interesting cities besides Malaga and "Costa del Sol" are Antequera, Ronda, Ecija, etc.

A village where you can buy  ceramics with quality and cheap is Bailen, in the province of Jaén.
