Our cottage


Traditional cottage between ecological olive groves and near Cordoba

Our cottage is located in an area known as 'Los Pedroches' inside the mountains of Sierra Morena. Cordoba is to 50 Km from our cottage. Around to us there are olives oil mills and near small chapels and small villages such as Villaharta and Obejo.  
Our house is isolated from other cottages and it is very quiet.
Our pleasant rustic house combines traditional elements very well. A very interesting alternative to stay in the middle of nature or to make visits to the nearby cities and villages.
Our house has a living room with fireplace, Kitchen is very spacious. There are six bedrooms with beds for 12 people. There are three bathrooms, two inside and another with shower outside.
There is a terrace with porch, we also have firewood barbecue.


We have sheets and bath towels, in addition to all the kitchenware.Microwave, color TV, DVD, iron, blender, mixer, toaster, etc.
The wood for the barbecue and the fireplace is freely available.
 
The swimming pool measures 7.5 m x 4.5 m. Around the swimming pool there is a terrace, which is surrounded by a vegetable hedge. There is a gazebo with garden furniture, some chairs and a wooden table. We also have sun loungers as well as umbrellas.
Next to our cottage there are numerous ecological olive groves and beautiful pastureland of oaks or ''dehesas', dairy cattle and Iberian pigs  witch give selected “ pata negra ham”  with Designation of Origin 'Los Pedroches'. Our olives were the first to take the ecological certification throughout Europe and our olive oil is prized worldwide, it is exquisite


In the house you can breathe a family atmosphere and very comfortable inside nature.
You can go hiking on the nearby routes or practice the observation of nature, with a multitude of wild plant and animal species, of which stand out birds , in this little known area of Andalusia there are numerous species of birds. Throughout the year you can see all kinds of birds .
Our cottage is an ideal place to rest or to make visits to cities such as Cordoba. Seville or Granada. In these cities there are feasts throughout whole year but especially in spring and summer there are the most. In Cordoba, "Los patios" is celebrated during the the first two weeks of May.

We recommend the visit to our country house all the year, in autumn and winter for the tranquility, where you can observe the picking of the olives. The spring is special because the field is covered with wild flowers and many festivals are  in Cordoba, especially in the month of May. Finally during the summer you can enjoy the swimming pool.
